Meet the Team

Dr. Adam W. Weinberg

Dr. Weinberg was raised in Durham, NC. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wake Forest University before attending the University of North Carolina Dental School. Dr. Weinberg went on to complete his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Before returning to North Carolina, he remained on faculty at CCHMC for 3 years. Dr. Weinberg has achieved Diplomate status as a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Weinberg lives in Wilmington with his wife Betsy and their two young daughters. He enjoys soccer, golf, running and spending time with his family.

Dr. Julie B. Dimock

Dr. Dimock is a native of eastern North Carolina. She received her undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Dimock went on to do additional specialty training in which she received her Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She still maintains an active affiliation with the UNC School of Dentistry where she enjoys teaching in the pediatric dental clinic. Prior to private practice, Dr. Dimock practiced pediatric dentistry at the New Hanover Community Health Center. Dr. Dimock has achieved Diplomate status as a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Dimock lives in Wilmington with her husband Dylan and their young son and daughter. She enjoys tennis, spending time with her family, and going to University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball games.

Mindy Brewer

Mindy is originally from Kinston, NC. She is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She joined our team in June 2006 and is currently our scheduling coordinator. She and her husband Derek were married in June 2007 and enjoy leading worship at their church, riding bikes, and spending time with their family.

Pamela Williams

Pam graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1981. She and her husband Robin have two beautiful daughters, Brooke and Kendra. Pam enjoys singing in her church choir and four-wheeling with her friends and family. She also enjoys playing with their cocker spaniel, Spanky. She joined our staff in September 2007. She works in the front office, where she truly loves working with the children.

Christie West

Christie is originally from Michigan and has lived down south for over 15 years. She has a wonderful husband and three beautiful children. She started with our office in 2003 and continues with us as the financial coordinator. In her spare time she loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.

Gretchen Willey

Gretchen is originally from Washington, NC, but has lived in Wilmington for nearly 8 years. She graduated from Peace College in 2001 with an Associates of Arts degree and from UNCW in 2003 with a degree in Psychology. Gretchen enjoys spending her free time with friends at Wrightsville Beach and visiting out-of-town family on weekends. Gretchen has been a member of our team since 2004. She stays busy in the office as a public relations liaison and coordinator of our hospital outpatient dental surgery program with NHRMC.

Alicia Irving

Alicia is originally from Wilmington. She graduated from Mount Olive College in 2000 with a B.S. in Business Administration. She decided to pursue a career in dental assisting. Her love for children brought her to Dimock & Weinberg Pediatric Dentistry. Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband George and their two kids, Cole and Hailey.

Melissa White

Melissa is a true Wilmingtonian. She graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1992 and from Cape Fear Community College in 1996. She has three children who keep her very busy. She enjoys fishing with her kids and spending quality time with family and friends. She is one of our dental assistants and has been with us since 2004.

Beth Franks

Beth grew up Burgaw, NC. She graduated from Pender High School in 2005 and then attended Cape Fear Community College. She joined our staff in January 2008 and is one of our dental assistants. She loves working with children. In her spare time she enjoys being with family and friends and going out on the boat.

Autumn "Sheree" Lanier

Sheree was born and raised in Wilmington and graduated from E.A. Laney High School in 1999. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College in 2004 as a Certified Dental Assistant. Sheree has been a member of our dental team since 2006. In her spare time she enjoys raising her dog, Dixi, and spending time with family and friends.

Pat McSweeney

Pat was born in Virginia and spent 20 years in Connecticut raising her three handsome boys. She and her family relocated to Wilmington in 2002. She began working as a dental assistant in our office in 2003. Pat and her husband Dan live in Magnolia Greens with their Golden Retriever puppy, Bryscoe. She enjoys the beach, reading, and cooking Sunday dinner for her family.

Andrea Costin

Andrea was born and raised in Burgaw, NC. After graduating from Pender High School in 2005, she attended Cape Fear Community College and graduated from their Dental Assisting program in 2008. Andrea currently lives in Wilmington and has been working with us since August 2008. She enjoys shopping, going to the beach and reading.

Sarah Beck

Sarah was born and raised in Shallotte, NC. She graduated from West Brunswick High School in 2006 and from the Dental Assisting program at Cape Fear Community College in August 2008. Shortly thereafter, she joined our staff. Sarah enjoys being with her family, music, mission work and being actively involved in her church. She has always had a passion for helping children, and loves being able to work with them on a daily basis.
