February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers, and many others. Our pediatric dental office, along with the American Dental Association (ADA) would like to remind children of the importance of the following mouth healthy dental behaviors:

  • Brush your teeth for 2 minutes, 2 times per day using a fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss between your teeth every day
  • Eat a healthy diet that limits sugary snacks and drinks. Eat fruits and vegetables, and drink water instead!
  • Schedule regular dental visits with Drs. Dimock, Weinberg & Cherry for prevention and treatment of oral disease.

When children follow the above guidelines, they significantly improve their oral health and lessen their chances for cavities.
